For Sale: 1988 Centurion 'Dave Scott' Ironman Expert'

This is the bike that brought me through the 2005 OSIM Sprint Triathlon - a 1988 Centurion 'Dave Scott' Ironman Expert. You can read more about this model here. More pictures in this post on my blog.

I bought this bike new in L.A., California, back in college days, used it for 4 years in L.A. and Vancouver, and then brought it back to Singapore where it was sitting idle until early this year when I needed a bike to train for and compete in the OSIM Sprint Triathlon.

This IS an old bike, so there may not be not much to look at, but it works well and is probably a good way to test if you are really into triathlons or road bikes before shelving out a few thousand bucks for a road bike.

I did get some new stuff for it in March:

  1. New race tyres - Panaracer Stradius Extreme 700X20c.
  2. New saddle - fi'zi:k nisene.
  3. New brake pads.
  4. New chain
  5. Complete overhaul service - stripped down and re-greased.

Other stuff about the bike:

  1. Profile clip on aero bar.
  2. Look pedals
  3. Frame - TANGE 1 steel
  4. Wheels - WOLBER Super Champion ALPINE
  5. Full Simano 105 group and hubs

Price? sigh, just make me an offer la -> kewlnitrox@yahoo.com
